Help for the Homeless
Hygiene Drive 2020
2020 is Day By Day's 4th year participating in The Family’s annual ‘Help for the Homeless’ hygiene drive. Every spring the 'Help for the Homeless' hygiene drive helps stock our shelter with cleaning supplies, hair care, dental products, personal care, paper products, and first aid. The Oshkosh agencies involved in this year's drive were Day By Day Warming Shelter, ADVOCAP, Father Carr's, and Salvation Army.
From February 16 - March 8, 2020 Oshkosh community members collect hygiene items and donates to collection sites at businesses, churches, and schools. On March 10, the donations are brought to Oshkosh's Valley Christian School where the participating agencies, and with the help of students, sort through all of the donations and divide them to go towards each agency. This year the Oshkosh community donated $20,977 worth of hygiene products and our community hosted 56 boxes at 31 Host sites!
